The sea

The sea is something incredible. It's a MASSIVE body of water. It's teeming with wildlife. You can find animals ranging from the minute clown fish (think Nemo) to the humongous blue whale, which weighs 170 tonnes or more! You understand what I mean by humongous? And then there are those fascinating 'coral reefs'. Let's not go into the biological facts. My only statement is that they are fascinating.

The sea itself is something beautiful. What I personally find amazing is its ever-changing colors. If you've ever seen the Sun setting over the sea, you know what the true meaning of beauty is. The varying colors of yellow, orange, and red reflected on the water, spread out from a point on the horizon, fading away as it comes closer to the shore...

Staying on in the beach after watching the Sun set, you can see that the sea has changed its color. It has turned into a deep blue, the color of the night sky. Almost black. The sea has a deadly calm about it. The only factor disturbing the calm is a wave here and there. All together, a good place to meditate. If the moon is out, a flash of silver will be visible in the sea, where the moon's reflection is caught on a wave.

On a hot summer day, going to the beach with your family is a lot of fun. Assuming that you go around 6 in the evening. If you were to go at perhaps, 4 in the evening, you would be scorched to death. Really. Not advisable! Going to beach (AT 6) is FUN! At Marina beach, or even Elliots, there are tons of games to play, my favourite being shooting. You can buy burnt corn, kadalai, and sometimes even cotton candy. You can play frisbee, go horse riding, and splash around in the water. I love standing in the water, with the waves licking my feet, and staring out at that vast body of water. Like I said, it's an excellent place to meditate. The sea gives your mind a restfulness that nothing else can.

Before shutting down my computer, let me write down a short story (VERY SHORT) on... well, you figure it out yourself.

"I emerged from the sea, eager to see the outside world that the others always talked about. A blast of energy lifted me up higher. I presumed this blast of energy was the wind, because it seemed to come from nowhere. The big ball of gas which was stuck on the sky-which is heavenly, I've never seen a more beautiful blue- sorry, got distracted. The big fiery ball of gas, the Sun, gave me a penetrating glare. The light sifted through my form, giving me a sparkle that otherwise I couldn't have created. I looked around as this was probably the first and last time I would get a chance to see anything but the sea. In the distance I saw tiny figures, possibly what the sea creatures called 'humans', sitting on sand. This is life, I thought. This is how the world is. I've fulfilled my goal of seeing it, and if anything, it was worthwhile. Suddenly, from behind me I heard the unmistakable sound of a ship. Before I could escape, or even move, the ship pressed me down and the sea swallowed me whole. The world, never to be seen again. This is life, I sighed."

If you couldn't guess who narrated the story above, it's a wave. The story's name is 'The Life of a Wave Form'. Inspired by my dad, and written by me. :)

Salut!
